In June, students and staff came together for a vibrant, joy-filled Pride celebration – a day dedicated to recognising and embracing love, identity, and inclusion in all its forms.

The event was a fantastic opportunity for our community to show their support for LGBTQ+ individuals, and to celebrate the rich diversity that makes InFocus such a special place to be.

The day was bursting with energy, colour and creativity. Resident DJ James kept spirits high with a brilliant mix of tunes, while our talented catering team wowed everyone with a showstopping rainbow cake. Colourful nail and face painting added even more sparkle to the occasion, and a hilarious human fruit machine brought plenty of laughter and fun.

One of the highlights was a live set from our very own student band, The Bad Lemons, who filled the courtyard with music and pride. It was a real showcase of student talent and togetherness.

Perhaps the most heartwarming moment came from one of our students, Sienna, who summed up the spirit of the day perfectly with just a few words: “Your rainbow is welcome here.”

At InFocus, we’re proud to create a safe, inclusive space where every individual is valued for who they are. Pride is more than just a celebration – it’s a reminder of the importance of visibility, understanding and acceptance.
