St David’s House is our adult residential care home in Exeter. We support young adults with vision impairment and complex needs.
Our home has been adapted to provide a safe, accessible environment for our residents. We have specialist equipment and staff who are experienced in supporting those with vision impairment and additional needs. Our team of professionals are dedicated to ensuring that each individual we support can achieve their full potential.
We understand the importance of having an individualised service that caters to the specific needs of each person we work with. That’s why we offer personalised care plans that are tailored to those we support.
Location
St David’s House is located just off the Topsham Road at the edge of the city of Exeter. The city centre is only minutes away, as are the Exe Estuary, Jurassic Coast and beautiful Dartmoor.
The local area is well-served by public transport, and we also have our own fleet of adapted vehicles.
Exeter is a vibrant city with a great range of shops, restaurants and cafes, along with two theatres, an art gallery and a museum. We also have easy access to the rest of the South West, with mainline train services from Exeter St Davids Station. You can also travel further afield to nearby beaches.


Accommodation
20 young adults live in St David’s House in one of its three lodges – Ash, Maple and Mulberry.
Each lodge has an adapted kitchen, a large lounge space, adapted bathrooms, and access to sensory spaces. There are also gardens that back onto a large, leafy site used by other parts of the charity.
Individual bedrooms are adapted with hoists and specialist equipment to meet the needs of each individual, and our aim is to create a homely and personalised environment whilst also delivering specialist care.

At St David’s House, we strive to create an environment that is both homely and personalised. We are committed to providing each of our residents with a tailored care package, designed to suit their individual needs. Our highly experienced and dedicated team of professionals works closely with each resident, ensuring that they receive the best possible support and care.
Each bedroom has been adapted to suit the needs of each individual, with hoists and specialist equipment available. We also have sensory spaces which allow our residents to engage in a variety of stimulating activities.
Visitors are welcome at St David’s House, and we encourage families and friends to come for visits, meals, or simply to spend time with their loved one.
We strive to ensure that all of our residents are able to live with dignity, independence and respect.
