Benefits

There are many benefits to working at InFocus, and so many people who work here talk about the joy they get from helping to make a difference to the lives of the people we support.

We offer all our staff:

A generous and flexible approach to time off

This includes:

  • 6 weeks annual leave plus statutory bank holidays (pro rata for part time roles)
  • 3 paid medical appointments per rolling year
  • paid sick leave

Access to onsite facilities

Our Countess Wear site has free onsite parking, a small gym and “staff swim” sessions in our heated swimming pool.

Support for your career and your well-being

Everyone receives induction training at the start of their time with us. You may not have worked with people with a vision impairment before, but that’s OK as all new starters are given VI awareness training. If you’re working directly with our young people then you’ll have more in-depth training in how to support their needs.

We also support you to achieve a level 3 qualification in health and social care (for staff in enabler and support worker roles). This includes paying the training fees for you.

There’s free 24 access to a confidential employee assistance scheme. This includes access to confidential Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and other professionals who can help people deal with all kinds of practical and emotional issues.

Anything else?

We offer an “Introduce a Friend” incentive programme for all staff. This is a cash incentive that’s payable when someone you introduce has successfully completed their probationary period working at InFocus.

There’s also:

  • Access to a free will writing scheme
  • Free eye tests
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Death in Service cover
  • Group accident insurance cover
  • Bereavement support
