Vision impairment training
Vision Impairment Awareness Training
Our VI Awareness Training provides an insightful introduction to the experience of visual impairment and essential considerations when supporting learners with vision impairment. Whether conducted at your educational setting or at our site in Countess Wear, our training programme enhances understanding and practical skills, empowering participants to better support those with vision impairment.
Sighted Guide Training
Designed to equip participants with the skills to confidently guide learners with vision impairment, our Sighted Guide Training covers safe navigation in and beyond the classroom. Learn how to inquire about assistance, and master basic guiding techniques for navigating obstacles, stairs, and reaching destinations with ease.

Split Placements
We provide split placements with schools and Further Education (FE) colleges, allowing learners to primarily attend the school/FE college for their studies while also incorporating a dedicated period at InFocus College.
This additional period focuses on specialised skills such as independent living, employability, mobility and orientation, access technology, and Braille.
