Some brilliant news! After a long summer of repairs the InFocus pool is back up and running!

In January, InFocus was forced to close the pool after the discovery of two major leaks. In June, InFocus launched an appeal to raise money towards the repairs; The Exeter Chiefs Foundation donated a grant of £25,000 to the project, and the public campaign raised an amazing £10,000, thanks to the kind support of charity supporters.

The pool opened in time for the new college term, meaning the InFocus community has now returned to swimming lessons – you can see how much joy this brings! 

Some students’ favourite part of having the swimming pool back:

“I loved being in the pool, I loved having it back”
“I missed going swimming!”

The pool is far more than somewhere to swim; it’s a place where people can move freely, build confidence and enjoy a sense of independence that isn’t always possible on land.

The local community has also been able to return to swimming. InFocus welcomes back toddlers learning to swim with their parents, young athletes training for competitive swimming, and school children coming for lessons.
