Last month we welcomed staff from Inviron, working here in Exeter, to our main site for a day of volunteering.

Many of the young people supported by InFocus are living away from their families for the first time, so it’s important that they feel like they have a ‘home from home’ here in Devon.

The Inviron team helped to clear and prepare the soil for a new herbaceous border in front of Shepherd House – currently home to 5 teenagers who have vision impairment and other disabilities. They all love spending time outside, and will appreciate the new flower bed when it comes into bloom over the months ahead!

InFocus’ 12 acre main site at Topsham Road is packed with specialist equipment and adapted facilities, as well as having lots of outdoor space that needs looking after. We’re so grateful that Sarah, Millie and Cathryn gave up their time to get involved with the massive job of maintaining and developing it.
