A night of jazz legends & generosity: the Joy of Jazz InFocus charity fundraiser swings into success!

The air crackled with anticipation at the Heavitree Social Club last Friday night, as the Joy of Jazz benefit concert unfolded into a triumphant evening. The venue was packed with a full house, all united by their love for smooth sounds and a desire to support a worthy cause.

Taking centre stage was the legendary vocalist and local business leader, Joy Parke. After a much-anticipated return to the British stage, Joy’s voice, as rich and captivating as ever, left the audience spellbound.  A true Sophisticated Lady, Joy’s dedication to InFocus added a truly special touch to the evening.

But the magic wasn’t just about the vocals. Joining Joy was the renowned Craig Milverton Quartet, whose mastery of their craft delivered an unforgettable performance. Their improvisational brilliance and tight interplay kept the energy high throughout the night.  With Craig set to perform at the upcoming Sidmouth International Jazz & Blues Festival later this month, it was a privilege to witness such legendary talents come together in support of InFocus.

Thanks to the phenomenal performances of Joy Parke and the Craig Milverton Quartet, the generosity of the Heavitree Social Club for providing the perfect venue, and most importantly, the incredible support of everyone who attended, the event raised a significant amount of vital funds for InFocus Charity!

The concert has raised in excess of £1000 to date with Joy set to take part in a sponsored skydive in what will round off an amazing campaign.

You can help continue Joy’s momentum by donating to her JustGiving page. Meanwhile, why not come to our next fundraiser at Exeter Golf & Country Club for a night of quizzes, comedy, live music, and more!

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed to this legendary evening. You’ve helped us make a positive impact on our community!
