Seeing the incredible impact of InFocus Charity first-hand on our shared campus, University of Plymouth’s Exeter School of Nursing students Isobel, Leah, and Jessica decided to take their support to new heights – literally!

We spoke to Isobel Kugele, the mastermind behind this group of friends’ decision to skydive and raise vital funds for InFocus Charity.

“The supportive environment and life-changing programmes offered by InFocus truly inspired me,” says Isobel;. “From career development to communication and mobility skills, InFocus equips young people with the tools they need to thrive.”

While the skydive is certainly nerve-wracking, Isobel finds the cause far more daunting. “The thought of someone facing these challenges without InFocus’ support is what truly motivates me,” they share.

The fundraising experience itself has been surprisingly rewarding. “Setting up a JustGiving page with InFocus’ guidance was a breeze,” Isobel explains. “Social media, supportive supermarkets, and the generosity of friends, family, and colleagues have all been instrumental in reaching this goal.”

Beyond the jump, this journey has broadened Isobel’s perspective and fostered compassion. It’s also boosted their confidence, offering unexpected opportunities for leadership and organisation.

InFocus Charity provides a unique space where support and compassion meet, with therapeutic programmes that empower young people to build independence and navigate life’s challenges.

We are incredibly grateful to our friends from the University of Plymouth for collectively raising over £2300 for InFocus Charity.
